Although this year's race will not be in its usual format due to coronavirus restrictions, the SimplyIOA team will be participating in more ways than one. Team members will not only be running at home, but SimplyIOA will also team up with Track Shack to sponsor a free running shoe sweepstakes. All race participants can enter into a sweepstake to win 1 of 5 pairs of running shoes (valued at $150) in association with Corporate5K and Track Shack. To enter the sweepstake, all runners need to do is get a quote for your auto or homeowners' insurance with SimplyIOA. The winners will be selected at random following the event and will be contacted by a Track Shack employee.
SimplyIOA employees from Lake Mary, Florida to Belfast, Northern Ireland are encouraged to run in the virtual 5K in support of workplace wellness and healthy lifestyles. Those running will sport specific team t-shirts and time their runs on the Real-Time Remote Racing app. Follow along on the SimplyIOA social media channels to see how our race days pan out.
The Corporate 5K also serves as a fundraising event with proceeds donated to the Track Shack Youth Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, and The Christian Service Center's Love Pantry. Participants have been encouraged to join the 100 Meal Team Challenge in a bid to help fight hunger and feed hope in Central Florida by providing 140,000 meals to our neighbors in need.
